About Arapahoe Acres Historic Neighborhood

Arapahoe Acres was the first mid-century neighborhood to be listed on the Historic Register. As part of the efforts to become listed on the National Historic Register, a detail packed website was created to document the valuable details of our neighborhood. You can check it out here.

Arapahoe Acres held its first home & garden tour last fall, which was the first in several years. The event was such a success and fun for the neighborhood, that we are excited to announce the 2010 Arapahoe Acres Home & Garden tour for August 28. We have scheduled the event the same weekend as the Denver Modernism Show. We hope that Modernism fans close and far away are able to enjoy a fun packed weekend of modern goodness.

Tour tickets are $20 and are available in advance online. We will also be selling tickets at the Denver Modernism Show on Friday, August 27 and Saturday morning, August 28.

Additionally, Arapahoe Acres homes have been documented in detail in two incredible books as part of the Historic Denver Guides & Publications Series. One book is dedicated completely to Arapahoe Acres and a second book details Arapahoe Acres home as part of the larger Denver metro modern home community. Both of these books are authored by our own resident historian, Diane Wray-Tomasso, and are available directly from Historic Denver.
